Leslie Ashburn-Nardo, Ph.D.

Principal Investigator

Dr. Leslie Ashburn-Nardo is the PI of the ASPIRe lab, Associate Professor of Psychology, and Director of the Applied Social and Organizational Psychology doctoral program and the Industrial/Organizational Psychology master’s program at IUPUI. She received her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology at the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Ashburn-Nardo attributes her interest in social psychology and, more specifically, the study of socially stigmatized identities, to her own experiences in which she felt she didn't fit in (e.g., being a first-generation college student, being a voluntarily childfree person).
